Pride turns the Centrum into one long street party, and the Saturday of the Canal Parade closes the inner canals to everything but boats. Brooklyn has been through enough of those weekends to know that a booking on parade day belongs in the late evening, after the last boat has moored and the crowds have moved indoors. English is the language of every booking she takes, and an easy, relaxed pace suits her on a week when the whole city is out. Body to body and nuru are what she is asked for when a guest has spent the day on a crowded quay. The hour is agreed with her well before the weekend begins, and she decides at the door what the session will include.

Brooklyn decides which bookings she takes and may decline any of them; she sets the limits for what a session includes, says what they are, and may end a visit at any point, as the terms set out.
