Booking thread: where every detail is agreed in writing
The booking thread is the written conversation where the date, hour, length, name, figure and deposit are agreed, and where any later change is made.
Every booking with the house is agreed in writing, from the first message to the last, in a single conversation called the booking thread. On an event date that is particularly useful, because a booking made weeks before the trip has to survive the journey, and a written thread keeps every detail where both sides can read it again.
What it holds
- The date and the hour, on the Amsterdam clock.
- The length, from an hour to the overnight.
- The district and, when you have it, the hotel and the room number.
- The woman you named, or the two or three you would be glad to see.
- The figure, the deposit if one applies, and where to pay it.
Nothing is held and nothing is owed until you answer the reply that confirms these.
What goes in later
Changes of hour or date, a room number that was not known at first, a note about the entrance on the day, a message that you are running late. Everything goes in the same thread, so the record stays in one place.
What it is not for
It cannot find you a room during a sold-out week or say what a particular hotel allows. And it does not settle what a session includes; she says that herself, at the start of the visit.
